According to earlier statements, German prosecutors accuse Serhii K. (Serhii Kuznetsov) of belonging to a group that placed explosive devices on the pipelines near the Danish island of Bornholm in the Baltic Sea. He has been charged with conspiracy to carry out an explosion, anti-constitutional sabotage, and destruction of critical infrastructure. The suspect denies all accusations.

He was detained in Italy in August under a European arrest warrant.

On November 20, the Italian Supreme Court of Cassation approved his extradition to Germany.
