Injury toll in Russia’s missile strike on Balakliia rises to 15, three dead

The number of people injured in the Russian missile strike on Balakliia in Kharkiv region has risen to 15, with three confirmed dead.

This was reported on Telegram by the Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor’s Office, according to Ukrinform.

“According to the investigation, on November 17, around 02:00, Russian armed forces launched a missile strike on the city of Balakliia. The enemy used two missiles on the city. Apartment buildings and more than 15 vehicles were damaged. Three men were killed, while 15 people sustained injuries and acute shock, including four children: three girls aged 14, 15, and 17, and a 12-year-old boy,” the report states.

Earlier, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported 13 injured.

On the night of November 17, Russian invaders struck Balakliia with missiles. The impact damaged seven multi-story apartment buildings and a kindergarten.

After a second strike, two additional nine-story residential buildings were damaged.

According to preliminary information, three people were killed and 13 injured, including three children.

As previously reported by Ukrinform, starting from the evening of November 17, Russian forces attacked Ukraine with two Iskander-M ballistic missiles and 128 drones. Ukraine’s air defense forces neutralized 91 UAVs.
