Three killed in Russian missile strike on Balakliia
Vitalii Karabanov, head of the Balakliia City Military Administration, reported this on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.
"The enemy carried out two missile strikes on the center of Balakliia. The impacts occurred next to apartment buildings," he wrote.
All emergency response services are working at the scene, the official said.
Shortly afterward, Karabanov said that, according to preliminary information, three people were killed in the missile strike. Another ten were injured, including children born in 2011, 2007, and 2010. Nine of the injured have been hospitalized, while one person is receiving outpatient care.
“Unfortunately, calls about possible additional casualties are still coming in," he added.
According to Karabanov, rescuers, medical personnel, and emergency services continue to work at the site.
Earlier, the Ukrainian Air Force had warned of a ballistic missile threat from the Kursk region. Air raid alerts were declared in several regions, including Kharkiv.
On the evening of November 16, Russian attacks left the Izium and Balakliia communities in the Kharkiv region without power.
