In the early hours of November 14, units of Ukraine’s Defence Forces struck the Novorossiysk naval base in Russia’s Krasnodar region, an oil refinery in the Saratov region, and a fuel and lubricants storage facility near Engels.

Ukrinform reports this with reference to a Telegram announcement from the press service of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

“To reduce the military-economic potential of the Russian aggressor, in the early hours of November 14, units of Ukraine’s Defence Forces struck the Novorossiysk naval base in Russia’s Krasnodar region,” the statement reads.

It is noted that Ukrainian weapons were used in the strike, including Neptun missiles and various types of UCAVs.

“A strike on critical port and oil terminal infrastructure at the Sheskharis facility, as well as on a launcher from the S-400 air-defence system and a missile storage site, was confirmed, followed by detonation and fire. The extent of damage is being clarified,” the General Staff added.

According to the press service, the Sheskharis terminal is one of the largest oil-handling complexes for the transshipment of oil and oil products in southern Russia. It is used to supply groups of the armed forces of the aggressor state conducting combat operations in Ukraine.

In addition, the Saratov Oil Refinery in Russia’s Saratov Region was struck, with explosions followed by fire recorded at the facility.

The plant is involved in supplying the Russian occupation army. The results of the strike are being clarified.
