Defense forces liberate 189 km² in Ocheretyne sector – CinC Syrskyi

Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi reported this on Facebook, according to Ukrinform.

"The Pokrovsk area remains the main focus in terms of enemy offensives. Therefore, special attention is being given to strengthening units in this sector, providing our soldiers with everything they need, and reinforcing logistical routes," Syrskyi said.

He noted that in the city of Pokrovsk and its outskirts, Ukrainian defenders from mechanized units, Air Assault brigades, the 425th Separate Assault Regiment, operators of the Unmanned Systems Forces, and other personnel of the Defense Forces are effectively operating.

The enemy continues to suffer significant losses in both manpower and equipment. Assault groups and their concentration points are being detected and destroyed.

"Our active operations in the Ocheretyne sector  also force the enemy to disperse its forces and prevent it from concentrating its main efforts in the Pokrovsk sector. Overall, during the operation, 189 km² have been liberated, and 257.7 km² cleared of enemy sabotage and reconnaissance groups," Syrskyi emphasized.

On the Huliaipole and Orikhiv axes, Russian forces continue attempts to exhaust Ukrainian units through heavy shelling and small assault group actions. The Ukrainian Defense Forces are conducting blocking and combined fire strikes against the invaders near the settlements of Yablukove, Vesele, and Solodke.

Ukrainian forces are also carrying out search-and-strike operations to locate and destroy enemy sabotage groups attempting to infiltrate deep into Ukrainian defenses.

Just in the past 24 hours, in the operational zone of the Operational Command South, the enemy has lost 239 personnel killed or wounded and 43 units of various military equipment.

"We are increasing strikes with Ukrainian weapons against targets in Russian territory and on temporarily occupied areas of Ukraine. Since the beginning of November, at the strategic level (Deep Strike), 33 Russian aggressor objects have been successfully hit, and at the operational level (Middle Strike) – 41," Syrskyi stressed.

For comprehensive strikes, long-range Ukrainian-developed systems such as Flamingo, Bars, and Liutyi are also being used.

As Ukrinform reported, 117 combat encounters have been recorded on the front between the Armed Forces of Ukraine and Russian invaders since the start of the day, with the enemy continuing to focus most of its efforts on the Pokrovsk direction.
