More children and parents to be evacuated from settlements in Dnipropetrovsk and Zaporizhzhia regions
The ministry for development of communities and territories reported this on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.
It is noted that following the meeting of the coordination headquarters, a decision was also made to evacuate residents of institutional care facilities in the Zaporizhzhia region located about 50 km from the frontline. The evacuation will be carried out in accordance with safety requirements, medical considerations, and with proper supervision.
The issue of operating transit centers for evacuees was also discussed, along with the possibility of opening an additional center in the Kharkiv region.
According to the ministry, since June 1, 2025, nearly 124,000 people have been evacuated from frontline areas, including more than 14,500 children and over 4,000 people with limited mobility.
As of today, 20 transit centers are operating across several regions of Ukraine. The Dnipropetrovsk region hosts the largest number — eight. There are five transit centers in the Sumy region, two in the Kharkiv region, three in Volyn, one in Mykolaiv, and one in Zaporizhzhia.
As reported earlier, since the beginning of October, 438 residents of the Donetsk region have been relocated to safer areas of Ukraine.
