Russians’ main objective remains rapid occupation of Pokrovsk – Zelensky
The President made this statement during a briefing following the Staff meeting, Ukrinform reports.
“The situation in Pokrovsk is difficult. On November 5, the enemy carried out assault operations using equipment. They lost that equipment, but the number one goal for the enemy is to occupy Pokrovsk as quickly as possible,” Zelensky said.
According to the President, 220 assaults on the city have been reported over the past three days. In Pokrovsk itself, according to Ukrainian military data, there are about 314 Russian occupiers, while the grouping positioned on the city’s outskirts and exerting pressure in this direction remains significant.
As reported by Ukrinform, Supreme Commander-in-Chief Volodymyr Zelensky convened a meeting of the Staff, during which he heard a report on the frontline situation. Nearly one-third of all battles and 50% of the enemy’s use of guided bombs is concentrated in the Pokrovsk area.
