Ukrainian intelligence strikes Russia's Rubicon UAV unit in Avdiivka

Fighters from the Ukrainian Defense Ministry's Main Intelligence Directorate (HUR) have struck the headquarters of Russia's Rubicon UAV unit, which had been set up in a partially destroyed building in the temporarily occupied city of Avdiivka, Donetsk region.

That is according to the HUR's press service, Ukrinform reports.

The military intelligence agency said that Rubicon specializes in the use of unmanned systems, including combat drones, in Russia's full-scale war against Ukraine. It is considered one of the most capable formations of the Russian armed forces, receiving significant funding and resources from the aggressor state.

Ukrainian intelligence officers obtained the coordinates of the enemy headquarters and, despite dense urban development, accurately struck the target with an FP-2 drone carrying a warhead weighing over 105 kilograms.

As a result of the strike, several Russian officers and drone operators from the Rubicon unit were eliminated.
