Two men killed, one injured after Russian drone detonation in Chernihiv region
According to Ukrinform, the press service of the Borzna territorial community reported this on Facebook.
“Today, a tragedy occurred in our community — in the middle of a field, as a result of the detonation of an enemy UAV, two people were killed, and one person was injured,” the statement reads.
According to the Head of the Borzna territorial community, Larysa Osadchuk, who spoke to Suspilne, the explosion occurred at around 11 a.m. in a field within the Mala Zahorivka district. Two employees of the agricultural enterprise “Druzhba Nova,” born in 2004 and 1993, were killed. Another employee, born in 1973, sustained shrapnel injuries and received medical assistance at the Borzna City Hospital.
Osadchuk noted that this was not a targeted drone attack on these individuals. She also stated that the victims had not driven over the drone with their machinery.
According to Mykola Pshenychnyi, the Head of the Mala Zahorivka district, the company’s workers were harvesting corn in the field and approached the unexploded drone on a tractor, stopping approximately a few meters away from it.
According to Ukrinform, a fire broke out at an agricultural enterprise’s hangar in the Chernihiv region the previous day. Administrative buildings were damaged as a result of Russian drone attacks.
