Woman from Kharkiv region injured in drone strike dies in hospital

A 66-year-old woman from the village of Pidlyman in the Kharkiv region, who was seriously injured on November 2 as a result of a Russian FPV drone strike, died in hospital.

This was reported by the Borova village council on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.

"Today it became known that a woman, local resident Kateryna Shevchenko, born on September 13, 1959, died in hospital from injuries sustained in yesterday's attack by an enemy drone on a civilian vehicle in the village of Pidlyman, Borova community. On behalf of the entire Borova community, we express our sincere condolences to the family and friends of the deceased," the statement said.

The village council added that three men who were injured are continuing to receive treatment.

The injured are the husband of the deceased and a man who is not related to the couple.

"Yesterday, we reported that three people from the same family had been injured. This information has not been confirmed. In the car that was hit by an enemy drone, along with the retired couple, there was a civilian man born in 1980 who is not related to them. He was also injured and is currently in the hospital. In addition, another civilian, a 51-year-old resident of the community, who was near a store in the village of Pidlyman at the time, was injured during the drone attack. He has been hospitalized," the village council said.

As reported by Ukrinform, on November 2, in the village of Pidlyman, Izium district, Kharkiv region, an FPV drone hit a VAZ 21099 car. Four people were injured: a 66-year-old woman and three men aged 70, 51, and 45.
