General Staff confirms strike on Saratov oil refinery and several Russian army logistics facilities in Luhansk region
According to Ukrinform, this was reported on the Facebook page of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
During the night of November 3, units of the Defense Forces of Ukraine struck the Saratov oil refinery in Russia’s Saratov region. Direct hits were recorded on the target, and a fire broke out in the area of the ELOU AVT-6 oil refining complex.
The Saratov oil refinery is one of Russia’s oldest oil processing enterprises. As of 2023, its refining volume amounted to 4.8 million tonnes. The plant is involved in meeting the needs of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.
The Russian occupiers' logistics facilities in the temporarily occupied part of the Luhansk region were also damaged by fire.
In particular, a logistics supply depot in Rozkishne and a mobile fuel and lubricants stock in Dovzhansk were struck.
As Ukrinform reported earlier, Russia claimed a drone attack on the refinery in Saratov.
