Russia deploys 11,000 troops to encircle Pokrovsk agglomeration – Air Assault Forces reveal enemy’s possible plan
According to Ukrinform, the Command of the 7th Rapid Response Corps of the Air Assault Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this on Facebook, detailing the enemy’s probable plan to encircle Pokrovsk.
“To execute its plan to encircle the Pokrovsk agglomeration, the enemy has deployed approximately 11,000 personnel. Enemy groups that have managed to infiltrate the city aim to advance northwest and north of Pokrovsk,” the statement reads.
According to the Ukrainian military, in the area of responsibility of the 7th Rapid Response Corps of the Air Assault Forces, the enemy has amassed about 27,000 troops, nearly 100 tanks, up to 260 armored combat vehicles, and around 160 artillery systems and mortars.

The defenders of the Pokrovsk agglomeration continue their defensive operation.
Over the past two days, within the area of responsibility of the 7th Rapid Response Corps, Ukrainian troops have eliminated 90 Russian invaders and wounded another 42.
Ukrainian forces have destroyed one armored personnel carrier, three infantry fighting vehicles, three vehicles, one motorcycle, and have shot down or grounded 158 drones of various types.
Directly in Pokrovsk, the Defense Forces neutralized 18 Russian occupiers.
As Ukrinform reported earlier, as of 08:00 on October 29, 148 combat engagements took place between Ukraine’s Defense Forces and Russian troops. The fiercest fighting was recorded in the Pokrovsk sector, while the enemy also showed increased activity in the Oleksandrohrad and Kostiantynivka sectors.
