Zelensky: Pokrovsk Russia’s main target, fighting ongoing inside city

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky reported this in his evening video address, Ukrinform notes.

“I spoke with our military – special attention is focused on Pokrovsk and the neighboring areas,” he stated.

The President emphasized that it is precisely there that the occupier currently has the largest concentration of assault forces and significant offensive activity.

“Battles continue in the city as well: it is Pokrovsk that is their main objective. And every result achieved by our forces in this sector is a result for all of Ukraine, for the entire defense of our state,” Zelensky stressed.

As reported earlier by Ukrinform, since the beginning of the day there have been 101 combat engagements between Ukraine’s Defense Forces and Russian troops, with battles continuing in six sectors of the front. The highest offensive activity by the enemy is underway in the Kostiantynivka and Pokrovsk sectors, with heightened activity also observed in the Oleksandrohrad area.
