Ukraine never uses American weapons to strike distant targets in Russia — Zelensky
This was stated by President Volodymyr Zelensky during a press conference in Brussels. The President's communication with journalists was broadcast by the Office of the President, and Ukrinform retransmitted the event on its YouTube channel.
"We have never used American weapons for long-range strikes against very important targets on Russian territory. This is important. We have used various weapons with decent long-range capabilities, but this was purely, I would say, in the combat zone or in preparation for corresponding combat missions by the Russian Federation. Crimea and the east are Ukraine. And we cannot talk about the use of this or that weapon, not only of Ukrainian production, on the territory of Crimea, as if it were on the territory of Russia. No, we are talking about temporarily occupied territories," he said.
Zelensky noted that Ukraine has a clear vision of how to use long-range weapons of its own production. The president noted that currently, they can hit targets at a distance of 150 km to 3,000 km. Zelensky added that the main issue is finding additional funding for the mass production of Ukrainian long-range weapons.
According to Ukrinform, President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that Ukraine is currently negotiating the procurement of long-range weapons with European countries that possess them.
