Drone attack on Kharkiv: One dead, number of victims climbs to nine
According to Ukrinform, the press service of the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Kharkiv region reported the news on Telegram.
“As a result of the shelling, a 40-year-old man suffered fatal injuries. Nine other people were wounded, and all of them received medical assistance,” the report said.
A criminal case has been opened under Article 438 (war crimes) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
As reported, at around 11:00 a.m. on October 22, Russian troops struck the Kholodnohirskyi district of Kharkiv with three Shahed drones. The UAVs hit a private educational center, where up to 50 children were present. During the air raid, they were taken to the nearest shelter, and from there, they were evacuated by rescuers. A fire broke out in the building.
A 40-year-old employee of the Shliakhrembud municipal enterprise was killed, according to the regional administration. Six people were injured, four of whom were hospitalized (two in serious condition).
