War update: 151 combat clashes on frontline, heaviest fighting in Pokrovsk sector

According to Ukrinform, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported the situation as of 22:00 on Saturday, October 19.

Russian forces carried out one missile strike, 60 airstrikes, launched one missile, and dropped 128 guided aerial bombs. In addition, they used 2,371 kamikaze drones and conducted 3,604 artillery shellings on Ukrainian positions and settlements.

In the Northern Slobozhanshchyna and Kursk sectors, Ukrainian defenders repelled 11 Russian assaults, with two more clashes ongoing. The enemy launched two airstrikes (dropping six guided bombs) and carried out 129 shellings, including one with multiple rocket launchers.

In the Southern Slobozhanshchyna sector, Russian forces attacked Ukrainian positions 10 times near Vovchansk, Tyke, Kamianka, and toward Dvorychanske and Bolohivka.

In the Kupiansk sector, the enemy launched three assaults toward Pishchane, two of which are still underway.

In the Lyman sector, Russian troops attacked five times near Drobysheve, Serednie, and Myrne.

In the Sloviansk sector, Ukrainian troops repelled one assault near Serebrianka.

In the Kramatorsk sector, no offensive actions were recorded.

In the Kostiantynivka sector, Russian troops attacked 17 times near Oleksandro-Shultyne, Shcherbynivka, Toretsk, Pleshchiivka, Rusyn Yar, and Sofiivka. All attacks were repelled.

The Pokrovsk sector saw the highest activity — 53 Russian assaults on Ukrainian positions near Shakhove, Volodymyrivka, Rodynske, Novoekonomichne, Chervonyi Lyman, Myrnohrad, Sukhyi Yar, Zvirove, Kotlyne, Udachne, Filiia, Promin, Lysivka, Molodetske, Dachne, and toward Novopavlivka. Fighting continues in four locations.

According to preliminary data, Ukrainian troops eliminated 44 Russian soldiers (27 irrecoverable losses), destroyed two artillery systems, 19 drones, three vehicles, and five pieces of special equipment, and struck 11 enemy shelters, an EW station, eight vehicles, and one artillery system.

In the Oleksandrohrad sector, Russian forces made 22 attempts to breach Ukrainian defenses near Andriivka-Klevtsove, Voskresenka, Orestopil, Oleksandrohrad, Vyshneve, Verbove, Sichneve, Vorone, Sosnivka, and Novohryhorivka. Seven clashes are still ongoing.

In the Huliaipole sector, the enemy carried out three failed assaults near Malynivka.

In the Orikhiv sector, one attack occurred near Plavni.

In the Prydniprovske sector, three unsuccessful attempts to approach Ukrainian positions were recorded near the Antonivskyi Bridge.

In other sectors, the situation remains largely unchanged.

“Today, we commend the soldiers of the 426th Separate Battalion of Unmanned Systems, who are effectively holding back the enemy,” the General Staff stated.
