Ukrainian forces destroy rocket launcher system used to shell Mykolaiv region

The head of the Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration, Vitalii Kim, reported this on Telegram, citing the Southern Defense Forces of Ukraine, Ukrinform reports.

"A few days ago, strike drones and aerial reconnaissance of the Lasar's Group unit, operating within the area of responsibility of the South Group of Forces in the Kherson region, destroyed a BM-30 Smerch multiple launch rocket system at a range of nearly 50 kilometers," the statement reads.

The regional head also added that this particular rocket system had been shelling fields in the Mykolaiv region for the past three months.

As Ukrinform reported, three settlements in the Mykolaiv region located on the Kinburn Spit remain occupied, with Russian forces continuing to shell nearby communities from there daily.
