In temporarily occupied Crimea, Russians, repelling attacks by the Armed Forces of Ukraine, probably shot down their own plane.

According to Ukrinform, the spokesman for the Ukrainian Naval Forces, Dmytro Pletenchuk, stated this during a live broadcast on the Apostrophe TV channel.

“They repelled the Ukrainian attacks so hard that they ended up shooting down their own plane over Crimea today,” he said.

According to the spokesman, information about the incident is currently being collected. Details are expected to be released later, including in the public domain.

Pletenchuk also reported that a second oil depot is already burning in temporarily occupied Crimea, with the flames visible even from Hvardiiske. He stressed that it is difficult to extinguish such objects due to open burning and the presence of large amounts of fuel. In addition, repeated strikes are possible, as was the case at the oil terminal in Feodosia.

“But the result on the scoreboard is quite doubtful now in Crimea for the Russians. And apparently, there will be even less fuel there today,” he said.

The spokesman stressed that the invaders will try to restore the destroyed facilities, as the need for fuel remains, but these territories are in the zone of fire control of the Defense Forces.

“The territory is within the reach of our fire control, particularly the Naval Forces, not only the Armed Forces of Ukraine in general,” Pletenchuk added.

He stressed that the logistics of Russian troops in temporarily occupied Crimea remain vulnerable, and the overall situation on the peninsula continues to deteriorate for the occupiers.

As reported by Ukrinform, in temporarily occupied Crimea, drones attacked the village of Hvardiiske, setting fire to an oil depot. Preliminary reports indicate that an ammunition depot was hit.
