Russian forces attack energy infrastructure in four regions overnight – Ministry of Energy

During the night of October 17, Russian forces attacked energy infrastructure in the Dnipropetrovsk, Kirovohrad, Sumy and Donetsk regions.

That is according to the Ministry of Energy, as reported by Ukrinform.

“The enemy struck energy facilities in the Dnipropetrovsk, Kirovohrad, Sumy and Donetsk regions. Emergency repair crews are working around the clock to restore electricity as quickly as possible,” the ministry stated.

The ministry urged Ukrainians to use electricity efficiently throughout the day, especially during peak consumption hours in the morning and evening.

As previously reported, power restrictions for businesses and industry are in effect nationwide from 07:00 to 22:00 on Friday. Emergency power outages were introduced in several regions earlier in the day.
