Drone explosion at enterprise in Sumy region kills one

A drone exploded at an enterprise in the Krasnopillia community, Sumy region, early on October 16, killing a 38-year-old man.
The Sumy Regional Prosecutor's Office said this in a Telegram post seen by Ukrinform.
"On the morning of October 16, 2025, in the Krasnopillia community, Sumy district, a drone exploded on the grounds of a local enterprise, killing a 38-year-old man," the post reads.
Prosecutors and other law enforcement agencies are documenting the aftermath of the attack.
The Sumy District Prosecutor's Office has launched a pre-trial investigation into war crimes that resulted in the death of a person (Part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
From the morning of October 15 to the morning of October 16, Russian forces carried out 103 strikes on 39 settlements across 15 territorial communities in the Sumy region, leaving five people injured.
