Explosion reported in central Kharkiv, cause being investigated

An explosion occurred in central Kharkiv early on October 13, and the cause is being determined.
Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov reported this on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.
"An explosion occurred in the central part of the city's Kyivskyi district, in a residential area. Windows were shattered in nearby buildings. The cause of the explosion is being investigated," the post reads.
Residents wrote on social media that the blast was heard at around 09:20. An air raid alert in Kharkiv was declared at around 09:00.
