Klitschko says new Russian attack on Kyiv possible in coming days, urges residents to stock up

Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko has urged residents of the capital to stock up on water, prepare first aid kits and food supplies, and charge backup power devices.

According to Ukrinform, he reported this on Telegram.

“The situation is difficult. And let’s tell the truth instead of trying to reassure ourselves. The enemy is not stopping. A new attack is expected in the coming days,” Kyiv Mayor emphasized.

Klitschko called on residents to stay focused and act pragmatically — in particular, to make water reserves, prepare first aid kits and warm clothing, stock up on food, charge power banks, and never ignore air raid alerts.

According to him, the capital experienced one of the most severe attacks in terms of consequences last night. All city services have been working since early morning to eliminate the aftermath.

In particular, power supply has already been restored to more than 423,000 customers, and repair work continues to bring electricity back to all others as quickly as possible.

“The water supply system has been restored and is operating normally. However, in some buildings that still have no electricity, cold water may be unavailable on upper floors due to inoperative pressure pumps,” Klitschko noted.

He stressed that all city services are working around the clock and in an enhanced mode to restore stable operation of Kyiv’s essential infrastructure systems.
