Ukraine’s SOF destroy enemy sabotage and recon group in Yampil, Donetsk region

In Donetsk region, Ukraine’s Special Operations Forces (SOF) destroyed an enemy sabotage and reconnaissance group (SRG) in Yampil, preventing further enemy advancement.

According to Ukrinform, the SOF press service reported this on Facebook.

“In Donetsk region, the enemy attempted to establish a foothold in the settlement of Yampil with small sabotage and reconnaissance groups. Their goal was to create a bridgehead for further assault actions. To stabilize the situation and regain control over the area, units of the 8th Regiment of Ukraine’s Special Operations Forces entered the settlement. The special forces carried out a complex of special operations, identified and destroyed enemy groups, cleared the territory, and prevented further enemy advancement,” the statement said.

The report noted that as a result of the coordinated actions of the SOF soldiers, the enemy suffered losses and was pushed out of Yampil.

As Ukrinform reported, 245 combat engagements occurred between Ukrainian forces and Russian troops in the past 24 hours.
