Due to the growing drone and missile threat from Russia, the training centers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are gradually being moved deeper into the country, away from the front line.

This was announced by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi, on Facebook, following a monthly meeting on the functioning of training centers, Ukrinform reports.

“Given the drone and missile threat, work is continuing to strengthen the security of training centers. They are increasingly being moved deeper into the country, as far away from the front line as possible,” he said.

According to Syrskyi, this raises the task of ensuring high standards of training even in remote locations. In addition, he reported that during the meeting, there was a constructive discussion on quality control of training in training centers, optimization of their organizational structure, deployment of basic military training on the funds of mechanized brigades, the role of army corps in training, etc.

"Problematic issues were considered, and ways to resolve them urgently were identified. I set specific tasks, including those related to preparing for the operation of the training centers in the winter," Syrskyi said.

The commander-in-chief also stressed the importance of fully realizing the potential of training centers.

“Over the past year, we have done a lot of organizational work to ensure that recruits have enough time to master the necessary skills and knowledge during basic military training. Now, basic military training lasts 51 days and includes a course on anti-drone warfare and other elements that meet the requirements of modern technological warfare,” he said.

As reported by Ukrinform, the National Guard of Ukraine recently increased basic military training for recruits to 57 training days.
