Air defense neutralizes 44 of 49 drones launched by Russia in overnight attack on Ukraine
As reported by Ukrinform, the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this on Telegram.
Starting at 20:30 on Tuesday, September 30, the enemy launched 49 strike UAVs—including Shahed, Geran, and other types—from multiple directions: Millerovo and Bryansk (Russia), Chauda (temporarily occupied Crimea), as well as one Oniks anti-ship missile (launched from Crimea) and four Iskander-M/KN-23 ballistic missiles (launched from Russia’s Oryol region).
The aerial attack was countered by Ukrainian aviation, electronic warfare teams, drone systems, and mobile fire groups of the Defense Forces.
As of 09:30 Wednesday, October 1, preliminary data indicates that 44 drones were shot down or suppressed over northern, eastern, and central regions of Ukraine.
Five missile and drone strikes were recorded across six locations.
As previously reported by Ukrinform, the number of injured in Dnipro following the Russian drone strike on Tuesday, September 30, has risen to 31, with one fatality confirmed.
