Military denies Russian capture of Oleksandrohrad, Ivanivka, and Zelenyi Hai
This was stated in a comment to Ukrinform by Oleksii Bielskyi, spokesman for the Dnipro operational-strategic group of forces.
“The information about the enemy taking full control of the settlements of Oleksandrohrad, Ivanivka, and Zelenyi Hai is not true,” he emphasized.
The spokesperson added that the Novopavlivka direction remains the second hottest after Pokrovsk. In particular, Russian occupiers are constantly increasing the number of assault operations there.
“The Armed Forces of Ukraine are using ‘active defense’ tactics in the Novopavlivka direction, which involves not only holding positions, but also actively using maneuvers, strikes, counterattacks, and fire damage to inflict maximum losses on the enemy and disrupt their offensive,” he assured.
Bielskyi stressed that the use of this tactic slows down and complicates the occupiers' advance through Ukrainian territory, as well as inflicts maximum losses on the invaders in terms of manpower and equipment.
"Yesterday, the enemy carried out 33 attacks on the positions of our troops in the Donetsk region, the administrative border, and the territory of the Dnipropetrovsk region. The defense forces managed to repel the assault near the settlements of Filia, Zelenyi Hai, Ivanivka, Yalta, Piddubne, Tolstoy, Komyshuvakha, Sosnivka, Maliivka, Olgivske, Poltavka, and Maliivka in the direction of Novoivanivka," the spokesman said.
As reported by Ukrinform, 195 combat clashes between the Ukrainian Defense Forces and Russian invaders were recorded on the front line over the past day, September 11, 60 of them in the Pokrovsk direction.
