Russian drones damage 30 buildings in Sumy

30 buildings were damaged in Sumy as a result of drone strikes during the night and morning of September 11.

This was reported on the Sumy City Military Administration's Telegram channel, according to Ukrinform.

“As a result of the enemy strike, 30 buildings were damaged. ️In 13 non-residential buildings, 283 windows and 3 roofs were damaged, as well as educational buildings and workshops, property and equipment of the college, a dormitory, a general secondary education institution, and medical buildings of the city hospital and polyclinic,” the report said.

In addition, 16 residential apartment buildings were damaged: 67 windows, 16 balcony frames, 80 common-use windows, and 2 roofs.

According to the police, one private car was also damaged.

A total of 104 employees of the State Emergency Service, the National Police, the Sumy City Council, and municipal enterprises and public organizations worked at the site of the strike, and 23 pieces of equipment were used to eliminate the consequences.

Currently, the department for the restoration of damaged property has received 19 applications for the inspection of damaged property.

The cleanup of the destruction caused by the enemy attack is ongoing.

As previously reported, Russian troops struck a residential building in Sumy in the morning with a Molniya UAV. At around 1:00 a.m., the enemy attacked civilian infrastructure in one of the districts of Sumy with strike UAVs: two Shahed-type UAVs struck the territory of a vocational and technical education institution on Okhtyrska Street, causing an explosion and fire.

Also in the morning, at 10:04 a.m., an unidentified UAV struck the territory of the cathedral on Independence Square, causing an explosion but no fire.
