Russian strikes hit Zhytomyr region: one killed, another injured

That is according to Vitalii Bunechko, Head of the Zhytomyr Regional Military Administration, on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.

“During a combined air attack, the enemy struck the territory of Zhytomyr region using kamikaze drones and cruise missiles. One person was killed and another wounded as a result of the strikes,” Bunechko said.

He added that several civilian enterprises and private homes were damaged.

Cleanup and recovery operations are currently underway.

Earlier reports indicate that several powerful explosions were heard in Zhytomyr amid warnings from the Air Forces about incoming cruise missiles.
