Air defense neutralized 60 out of 84 Russian drones

According to Ukrinform, this was reported by the Command of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Telegram.

Since 10:00 on Monday, September 8, Russian forces launched 84 strike drones of the Shahed and Gerbera types, as well as drones of other kinds, from the directions of Bryansk, Kursk, Millerovo, and Primorsko-Akhtarsk. Over 50 of these were Shahed drones.

The aerial attack was countered by Ukrainian aviation, anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare teams, drone systems, and mobile fire groups of the Defense Forces.

Preliminary data as of 08:30 on Tuesday, September 9, indicates that air defense systems shot down or suppressed 60 drones of the Shahed, Gerbera, and other types in the north, south, and east of the country.

There were confirmed strikes by 23 attack drones across 10 locations.

As Ukrinform reported, Russian forces attacked Sloviansk on the morning of Tuesday, September 9, with a Molniya-2 drone, damaging a residential building.
