Oil depot catches fire after drone attack in Belgorod region - media

In the village of Prokhorivka, Belgorod Region, Russian Federation, an attack by unmanned aerial vehicles damaged oil storage tanks at an oil depot, causing a fire at the facility.

According to Ukrinform, this was reported by the Russian BBC service, citing a statement by the region's governor, Vyacheslav Gladkov.

Gladkov reported that the fire at the oil depot in Prokhorivka had been completely extinguished, adding that there were no casualties as a result of the attack.

He also said that the attack had caused damage to the tanks at the facility. Equipment from the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations and fire trains were used to fight the fire.

Meanwhile, the Russian Ministry of Defense claimed to have shot down 31 drones on Tuesday night, according to the Astra Telegram channel.

The defense ministry of the aggressor country claims that seven drones were shot down over the Belgorod region, three UAVs over the Kursk region, two drones over the Krasnodar region, and one drone each over the Tambov and Voronezh regions. Also, 15 UAVs were allegedly destroyed over the Black Sea, and two more over the occupied Crimean peninsula.

As reported by Ukrinform, on September 5, Commander of Unmanned Systems Forces Robert Brovdi (“Madyar”) confirmed strikes on the occupiers' oil refinery in Ryazan and an oil depot in the temporarily occupied Luhansk.
