Russian forces kill four, injure ten civilians in Donetsk region over past day

On September 7, Russian troops killed four civilians and injured ten others in the Donetsk region.

That is according to Vadym Filashkin, head of the Donetsk Regional Military Administration.

Two people were killed in Novodonetske, one in Sloviansk, and one in Toretsk. Filashkin noted that the total number of casualties in the region—3,593 killed and 8,035 injured—does not include data from Mariupol and Volnovakha.

According to the regional police, Russian forces launched 2,472 strikes over the past day, damaging 32 civilian sites, including 12 residential buildings. Fifteen settlements came under fire, including the cities of Dobropillia, Druzhkivka, Kostiantynivka, Lyman, Sloviansk; the towns of Novodonetske and Yarova; and the villages of Volodymyrivka, Maiaky, Ozerne, Oleksandrivka, Rai-Oleksandrivka, Semenivka, Toretsk, and Torske.

In Sloviansk, an FPV drone struck a civilian vehicle, killing one person and injuring five. One person also died in an artillery strike on Toretsk, part of the Shakhivska community.

In Kostiantynivka, Russian forces used Smerch MLRS, artillery, and drones, injuring two residents and damaging five private homes. In Oleksandrivka, a Lancet drone hit a civilian car, injuring one person. A Molniya-2 drone damaged a private home in Lyman, while in Yarova, a Smerch MLRS strike destroyed three homes, two outbuildings, and a garage.

Additional damage was reported in Torske (a private home), Maiaky (an agricultural facility), and Rai-Oleksandrivka (a house and grain elevator). In Dobropillia, Russian forces used two KAB-250 bombs and a Geran-2 drone to strike a private residence, a business, and a cultural center.

After midnight on September 8, a Geran-2 drone hit Novodonetske again, killing two people and injuring two more. A multi-story building and a civilian vehicle were damaged.
