Russian artillery strike on Kostiantynivka kills eight civilians, six injured

As a result of a Russian artillery strike on the town of Kostiantynivka in Donetsk region, eight civilians were killed and six others were injured.

The Donetsk Regional Prosecutor’s Office reported this on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.

“On September 3, 2025, between 10:30 and 11:50, Russian forces shelled Kostiantynivka with tube artillery. The invaders targeted a residential neighborhood. As a result of the attacks, three women aged 46, 72, and 74, and five men were killed. Six other residents sustained injuries,” the report stated.

The victims were at home, on the street, or in a store at the time of the attack. All injured were taken to the hospital.

Private homes, apartment buildings, a store, and retail pavilions were damaged in the strike. The full extent of the damage is still being assessed.

A pre-trial investigation has been opened under Article 438, Part 2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine for committing a war crime.

Previously, Russian forces also targeted a civilian bus in Kostiantynivka with an FPV drone, injuring three people.
