Nizhyn partially left without power and water following Russian attack
According to Ukrinform, the Nizhyn City Council reported this on Facebook.
Explosions were heard in the city, and air defense systems were activated to target enemy drones.
“There was a strike on a critical infrastructure facility. The city is partially without electricity and water,” the city council stated.
Viacheslav Chaus, head of the Chernihiv Regional State Administration, added that the Chernihiv region is under attack by Russian drones.
“The enemy has once again targeted a civilian critical infrastructure facility. More than 30,000 households in the Nizhyn district are without electricity,” Chaus noted.
He emphasized that all necessary emergency services have been mobilized to carry out restoration efforts.
As Ukrinform previously reported, Russian forces also attacked an infrastructure facility in the Ivano-Frankivsk region, sparking a fire.
