Ukrainian forces liberate Novoekonomichne in Donetsk region

Assault units from the 425th “Skelia” Regiment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine have liberated the settlement of Novoekonomichne in the Donetsk region and raised the Ukrainian flag in the center of the town.
As reported by Ukrinform, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine announced this on Facebook and released a relevant video.
“It took two weeks to advance gradually, step by step, through every street. At night—troop deployment, enemy detection, coordinated assault, and clearing operations,” the video states.
On August 31, the Ukrainian flag was officially raised in the center of Novoekonomichne.
As Ukrinform earlier reported, Russia’s spring-summer military campaign of 2025 ended with over 291,000 Russian soldiers killed or wounded.
