Zelensky: Ukraine actively defending positions along frontline

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated this in his nightly video address, Ukrinform reports.

"We received reports from our military on the frontline situation, primarily about the Donetsk sectors, including Pokrovsk and other critical areas. We are holding our positions, and it is essential to note that this is active defense — we are destroying the occupier every day," he said.

Zelensky expressed gratitude to every unit of the Ukrainian Defense Forces for their resilience and precision on the battlefield.

He also noted that preparations are underway to ensure the army is fully supplied for the upcoming autumn.

"There will be meetings, and there will be our engagements with partners. We're preparing for a very active diplomatic week," he added.
