Russians scatter petal mines remotely in Kherson region
According to Ukrinform, this was reported by the National Police of Ukraine.
The police received a report that Russian invaders had remotely planted petal-type anti-personnel mines on one of the streets in the Dniprovskyi district of Kherson.
According to the police, these weapons are extremely dangerous for locals, as they are very inconspicuous in the environment.
Such mines can be green or brown in color, so they are almost invisible in grass, leaves, or soil. The mine is pressure-activated. To detonate it, one only needs to step on it or drive over it.
Police bomb disposal experts went to the specified address. Between shelling and drone attacks, they carefully inspected the area.
The anti-personnel high-explosive mines that were found were collected and destroyed by controlled detonation.
As reported by Ukrinform, the pyrotechnic unit of the Mobile Rescue Center for Rapid Response of the State Emergency Service will use the latest robot dog to remotely clear the Kyiv region of explosive devices.
