Ukrainian forces destroy Russian Solntsepyok system in Zaporizhzhia sector

Soldiers from the 102nd Separate Brigade of the Territorial Defense Forces of Ukraine, known as “Ivano-Frankivshchyna,” have destroyed a Russian heavy flamethrower system, the TOS-1 Solntsepyok, in the Zaporizhzhia sector.
According to Ukrinform, the Southern Defense Forces reported this on Telegram and released corresponding video footage.
“Soldiers from the 102nd Separate Brigade of the Territorial Defense Forces of Ukraine ‘Ivano-Frankivshchyna’ destroyed the heavy flamethrower system TOS-1 ‘Solntsepyok’! The operation took place in the Zaporizhzhia sector thanks to the coordinated efforts of UAV crews, company scouts, and the reconnaissance and fire correction platoon,” the statement reads.
As previously reported by Ukrinform, total Russian combat losses in the war against Ukraine from February 24, 2022, to August 25, 2025, amount to approximately 1,076,940 personnel, including 870 killed or wounded in the past 24 hours.
