Russian drone hits ambulance in Kharkiv region, medics injured

In the Kupiansk district, Kharkiv region, a Russian drone struck an ambulance while it was responding to a call, injuring medical workers.

The Kharkiv Regional Police reported this on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.

"On August 19, police received information that while responding to a call in the Kupiansk district, an FPV drone hit a vehicle of the emergency medical service. As a result of the attack, medical workers inside the vehicle were injured," the statement said.

Police added that two men, aged 57 and 43, sustained blast injuries and were taken to hospital.

An investigative team, forensic experts, and police explosives technicians arrived at the scene to document the Russian war crime.

The incident has been entered into the Unified Register of Pre-Trial Investigations under Part 1 of Article 438 (war crimes) of Ukraine's Criminal Code.
