Civilian killed in Russian drone strike on Nizhyn

A local resident was killed in the city of Nizhyn, Chernihiv region, as a result of a morning attack by Russian strike drones.

This was reported on Telegram by Viacheslav Chaus, Head of the Chernihiv Regional Military Administration, according to Ukrinform.

“In the morning, the enemy attacked Nizhyn with strike drones. Unfortunately, a local resident—a civilian man—was killed. He was 45 years old,” Chaus stated.

According to the Nizhyn City Council, Russian drones targeted civilian and critical infrastructure in the city. One strike drone crashed on the grounds of a non-operational research station.

As previously reported by Ukrinform, Russian drones attacked the Chernihiv region on the morning of August 19.
