Russians launch missile strike on army training unit, killing and injuring several

Last night, Russian troops launched a missile strike on a training unit of the Ukrainian Land Forced, killing one person.

According to Ukrinform, the Land Forces reported this on Facebook.

According to the report, personnel were alerted immediately after receiving a missile danger signal.

Despite the security measures taken, a group of soldiers was caught in the strike zone of cluster munitions while moving to shelters and bunkers.

One person is reported to have been killed and 11 wounded with injuries of varying severity. Another 12 soldiers sought medical attention with complaints on post-concussion syndrome and acute stress reaction.

Emergency services are working at the scene. The wounded are receiving all necessary medical assistance.

The Land Forces Command expresses its sincere condolences to the family and friends of the deceased.

To protect people's lives and health, work is ongoing to equip training centers, training grounds, and other military facilities with reliable shelters. In addition, additional security measures are being taken to protect military personnel during enemy missile and air attacks, the Ground Forces assured.

As reported by Ukrinform, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi emphasized the need to comply with safety requirements at training grounds and training centers.
