Russian drones attack Kharkiv, explosions heard in city
This was reported by Mayor Ihor Terekhov, according to Ukrinform.
“There is an explosion in Kharkiv. An enemy drone struck the Kyivskyi District,” he wrote.
The mayor urged Kharkiv residents to be cautious, as enemy drones are still approaching the city.
He soon clarified that the strike hit a civilian enterprise in the Kyivskyi District, which has not been functioning for several years. The consequences are being clarified.
“The city is under a massive drone attack,” Terekhov warned.
A few minutes later, the mayor reported a second strike, approximately in the same place as the first.
The Head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, Oleh Syniehubov, reported: “A series of explosions was heard in the Kyivskyi district of Kharkiv.” He noted that details are being clarified.
“A private house is on fire in the Kyivskyi District after enemy UAV strikes. We are clarifying the details,” Terekhov added later.
Before that, the Ukrainian Air Force warned of a group of enemy strike UAVs flying from the Belgorod Region of the Russian Federation to the north of the Kharkiv Region, heading for Kharkiv. An air raid alert has been issued in the region.
