As a result of a massive Russian drone attack overnight on July 24, a nine-story residential building in Odesa was destroyed, there is a risk of structural collapse; fires broke out at a gas station and the local Pryvoz market.

According to Ukrinform, the State Emergency Service of Ukraine (SES) reported this on Telegram.

“Odesa endured another hellish night. The Russians massively attacked the city with strike drones. A nine-story residential building was destroyed — residents from the 5th to the 8th floors have been left homeless. Apartments on the 5th and 6th floors of one of the entrances were on fire. There is a threat of structural collapse,” the message reads.

Rescuers evacuated 33 residents and rescued five who were trapped in their apartments.

Canine teams were deployed at the scene to search for potential victims.

A “point of invincibility" was set up near the building. Psychologists from the SES and the National Police are working with affected residents.

Efforts to eliminate the consequences of the enemy attack are ongoing.

Rescue teams are also working at other locations where fires broke out in a private home and at a gas station. Preliminary reports indicate three people were injured.

At the Pryvoz market, firefighters extinguished a fire in a two-story building and in trade pavilions, caused by Russian strikes.
