Canada to provide $15M to repair Ukrainian tanks

Canada will allocate CAD 20 million (approximately USD 15 million) to support the repair and maintenance of Ukrainian Leopard 2 tanks in Poland.

According to Ukrinform, Canada's Ministry of National Defense said this in a press release.

"[Canadian Defense] Minister [David] McGuinty announced that Canada will be donating an additional $20 million to support the Leopard 2 Maintenance and Repair facility in Poland," the statement said.

The ministry also noted that delivery of 50 armored vehicles to Ukraine, previously pledged by Canada, would be completed by the end of this year.

"This brings Canada's total commitment of military assistance to $6.5 billion [around USD 5 billion] since February 2022," the ministry said.
