War update: 79 clashes on frontline since day-start, fighting ongoing in six sectors

According to Ukrinform, this was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in an update as of 16:00 on June 26.

Border settlements in Sumy region such as Ulanove, Bachivsk, Kucherivka, Seredyna-Buda came under artillery fire from Russian territory.

In the Northern Slobozhanshchyna and Kursk sectors, the Ukrainian defenders have repelled eight out of 14 Russian attacks, with fighting still ongoing. The enemy also carried out an airstrike, dropping four guided bombs, and conducted 100 shellings, including one from a multiple launch rocket system (MLRS).

In the Southern Slobozhanshchyna sector, Russian forces attacked five times near Hlyboke, Zybyne, Kamianka, Kindrashivka, and Mala Shapkivka, where Ukrainian troops successfully repelled the assaults.

In the Kupiansk sector, Russian troops attacked Ukrainian positions four times near Holubivka, Stepova Novoselivka, and Zelenyi Hai, with one battle still ongoing.

In the Lyman sector, Russian forces launched 11 attacks near Hrekivka, Novyi Myr, Ridkodub, as well as toward Olhivka, Kolodiazi, Zelena Dolyna, and Torske. Ukrainian defense forces halted nine enemy attempts to advance, with two engagements ongoing.

In the Kramatorsk sector, Russian invaders attacked twice toward Markove and Bila Hora.

In the Toretsk sector, the enemy launched five attacks near Yablunivka and Rusyn Yar, with one clash ongoing.

In the Pokrovsk sector, Russian troops attempted 26 assaults to push Ukrainian forces from their positions near Poltavka, Malynivka, Shevchenko Pershe, Myrne, Myroliubivka, Promin, Lysivka, Myrnohrad, Novoserhiivka, Udachne, Oleksiivka, Novoukrainka, and toward Volodymyrivka. Ukraine’s Defense Forces repelled 21 attacks, with five engagements still in progress. Enemy losses are being clarified.

In the Novopavlivka sector, Russian forces carried out eight attacks near Zirka, Yalta, Zaporizhzhia, Bahatyr, Fedorivka, and Odradne, with two battles ongoing.

In the Orikhiv sector, Russian invaders carried out airstrikes on Stepnohirsk, Prymorske, and Kamianske.

In the Prydniprovske sector, the enemy launched four unsuccessful attacks against Ukrainian positions and conducted an airstrike using unguided rockets on Kozatske.

In the Huliaipole and Orikhiv sectors, Russian invaders did not conduct offensive actions.

In other sectors of the front, the situation has not changed significantly.

As previously reported by Ukrinform, Dmytro Zaporozhets, Spokesperson for the Luhansk Operational Tactical Group, said that Russian forces have increased artillery strikes in the Siversk sector.
