Over 350 people evacuated from Sumy region in past week

More than 350 residents were evacuated from the Sumy region over the past week, according to the head of the Sumy Regional Military Administration, Oleh Hryhorov.

“More than 350 people were evacuated this week alone. Since March, over 12,000 residents have been relocated,” Hryhorov informed on Telegram, as reported by Ukrinform.

He emphasized that, alongside evacuation efforts, authorities are working to restore access to essential services—including education, healthcare, and basic infrastructure—in safer areas deeper within the region.

As previously reported, Russian forces shelled 36 settlements in the Sumy region on June 21.
