Death toll from missile hit in Kyiv apartment block rises to 21

Twenty-one people have been confirmed dead so far in just a single apartment block partially destroyed in what appears to be Russia’s deadliest air raid targeting Kyiv since the full-scale invasion.

This was reported by the head of the municipal military administration, Tymur Tkachenko, Ukrinform reports.

"Rescuers have just discovered another, 21st, body while clearing the rubble," the official wrote on Telegram.

As Ukrinform reported, on the night of June 17, Russia launched more than 440 drones and 32 missiles at Ukraine. Kyiv, Odesa, Zaporizhzhia, Chernihiv, Zhytomyr, Kirovohrad, Mykolaiv, and Kyiv regions were affected.

As reported earlier, part of a nine-storey apartment block in Kyiv’s Solomianskyi district collapsed as a result of a direct hit by a Russian missile.
