Netherlands to allocate EUR 400M for Ukraine's maritime security

Acting Dutch Defense Minister Ruben Brekelmans stated that the Netherlands would provide Ukraine with a new military aid package worth EUR 400 million aimed at strengthening its maritime security.

He made this announcement ahead of the Ukraine Defense Contact Group meeting in the Ramstein format in Brussels on Wednesday, June 4, according to an Ukrinform correspondent.

Brekelmans said that the aid package would include more than 100 vessels, among them patrol boats and naval drones.

Earlier reports said that the Netherlands had completed the process of transferring F-16 fighter jets to Ukraine as part of a planned delivery of 24 aircraft.
