
Ukrainian forces down 9 Kh-101 cruise missiles, neutralize 288 of 355 drones

The large-scale attack began at 20:15 on Sunday, May 25, with Russian forces deploying a total of 364 missiles and UAVs. This included nine Kh-101 air-launched cruise missiles fired from Tu-95MS strategic bombers in the Saratov region, as well as 355 Shahed-type attack drones and various decoy UAVs launched from multiple locations, including Bryansk, Millerovo, Kursk, Orel, Shatalovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk, and Chauda in temporarily occupied Crimea.
The attack was countered by Ukrainian aviation, anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare systems, unmanned defense squads, and mobile fire groups.
As of 11:00 on Monday, May 26, Ukrainian air defense forces confirmed they had successfully intercepted all nine Kh-101 missiles and neutralized 288 drones across eastern, northern, southern, western, and central Ukraine.
Of the intercepted UAVs, 233 were shot down through direct fire, while 55 were neutralized or suppressed by electronic warfare.
Airstrikes were recorded in five locations, with downed attack UAVs landing in ten different areas
As earlier Ukrinform reported, a Russian airstrike damaged four enterprises, 18 houses and a power line in the Khmelnytskyi region.
