Ballistic missile strike on Kharkiv: 17 still hospitalized, including three children

Following a ballistic missile attack on Kharkiv by Russian forces on Friday, April 18, 17 individuals remain hospitalized, including a 12-year-old boy, a 15-year-old girl, and a 5-year-old boy, all in moderate condition.

Oleh Syniehubov, the head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, said this in a post on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.

“After the enemy’s ballistic missile attack on Kharkiv, 17 victims remain in hospitals,” the report stated.

Syniehubov emphasized that all patients are receiving high-quality medical care.

He also noted that the night following the attack was relatively calm in Kharkiv and the surrounding region. To ensure public safety, additional forces have been deployed across all communities in the Kharkiv region. Law enforcers are operating in an enhanced mode, with particular attention to maintaining order near places of worship and in crowded areas.

According to the RMA, by 18:00 on April 19 in the Kharkiv region, 16 glide bombs struck the Kupiansk district. Additionally, a rocket attack was recorded in the Izium district, resulting in the destruction of four private houses.

As Ukrinform reported, a 79-year-old man was killed and almost 100 people were injured in a missile attack in Kharkiv on April 18.
