One killed, three injured in Kyiv following missile strike – military administration

Tymur Tkachenko, head of the Kyiv City Military Administration, announced this via Telegram, according to Ukrinform.

"The terrorist state Russia has once again attacked Kyiv -- this time using drones, ballistic missiles, and cruise missiles. As a result of the enemy's ballistic missile strike, damage was reported in the Darnytskyi, Obolonskyi, and Solomianskyi districts of Kyiv," Tkachenko said.

According to him, initial reports indicate one fatality and three injuries (two of the injured were hospitalized).

"All necessary assistance is being provided to the victims. Information on other potential casualties is being clarified," he added.

Kyiv police said that three men aged between 36 and 57 sustained injuries, and one person was killed in the missile attack.

Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko reported via Telegram that the body of the deceased man was found in the Darnytskyi district.

"He was outside, near the epicenter of the explosion. The man is currently being identified," Klitschko said.

According to the Kyiv City Prosecutor's Office, a fire broke out in a furniture workshop in the Obolonskyi district. Thirteen vehicles parked near an office building were damaged, and the upper floors of the building suffered partial destruction.

Additionally, a fire broke out in a non-residential building in the Darnytskyi district. In the Solomianskyi district, windows in several retail kiosks were shattered.

Earlier reports said that fires broke out in the Darnytskyi, Solomianskyi, and Obolonskyi districts during the missile attack.

Kyiv's emergency services are working to eliminate the consequences of the morning missile strike.
